Course Objectives

Elevating awareness and providing basic knowledge to pharmaceutical sciences` students and fresh graduates in the field of pharmaceutical industry (R&D, production, QC, QA,PV, supply chain and GLP) enabling them to choose the suitable department. 

Detailed Intended Learning Objectives (ILOs):

This course is designed to make the participants acquire a clear-cut understanding of:

  • Write down the basic role of the specialists at the pharmaceutical factory 5 departments: "R&D, production, QC, and QA ".
  • Rank departments –considering his suitability to join- regarding his personal qualifications and preferences.
  • Respond efficiently to the interviewer questions related to his preferred department.
  • Explore advanced courses to join in the future.
  • Explain basic expressions and common abbreviations used in the industry.
  • Discuss -in brief- QC tests and techniques used such as HPLC, UV and dissolution testing.
  • Numerate procedures of development of drug product and commercial production.
  • Differentiate between QA and QC roles and nature of daily work.
